Head On Car Accident on Route 7 in New Milford, CT

A head-on collision Tuesday morning in front of Starbucks on Route 7 in New Milford has left two people seriously injured.

At about 6:30am on Route 7, also known as Danbury Road, Reginaldo DeSouza of Danbury was traveling north on the road when his black 2000 Mazda crossed the double-yellow line and hit a 2000 Kia Sportage driven by Elizabeth Burwell of New Milford.

Both drivers were extricated and taken to Danbury Hospital.

Route 7 was closed for nearly four hours.
