NBC Connecticut reports that Route 5 was closed Sunday in Enfield Connecticut following a motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV. The motorcyclist in this Enfield Connecticut motorcycle crash was transported to the hospital after being hit by an SUV Sunday night. WFSB reported late Sunday that a female driver was charged with driving under the influence in the accident and that the motorcyclist was reported in serious condition. Further, the driver of the SUV was not injured and police are continuing to investigate the crash. Anyone with information about the accident is encouraged to contact the Enfield Police Department.
