A gentleman in his 80s was struck by an SUV on Greenfield Street in Fairfield Friday night at around 9 pm. The accident happened in the vicinity of Liana’s Trattoria, Fairfield Police reported.
The driver of the SUV was being questioned after the accident police reported.
The elderly pedestrian was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport with the seriousness of his injuries not being known.
The SUV was reported traveling about 30 miles per hour when it hit the man, according to emergency medical personnel.
The accident is still under investigation.
