Connecticut School Bus Driver Charged with DUI

The Connecticut Post reported that a Connecticut school bus driver in Manchester has been charged with driving under the influence after she was involved in an accident.  Melissa Forrest , 36, of Andover failed a field sobriety test after the bus she was driving rear ended a wheelchair accessible van which was stopped at a red light on Main Street. The accident occurred on September 17, 2013 and no one was reported injured in either vehicle.

Forrest was driving five students from Bolton back from a vocational agricultural program at Rockville High School at the time of the accident. She was released on bond after being charged with both driving under the influence and following too closely.
