Jennifer’s Story

Jennifer parked in front of an ice cream stand. She was getting her grandchildren out of her van to enjoy a delicious treat when a car veered off the main road and slammed into the van. Jennifer and her grandchildren received a variety of injuries and were taken to the hospital. They got extremely lucky as their injuries could have been far more severe.

The driver of the car was a student and claimed that due to his busy schedule and late-night studying, he fell asleep at the wheel which resulted in the crash. In an attempt to either deny the claim or greatly reduce its value, the insurance company attempted to argue that this was an unavoidable accident.

Our office thoroughly investigated this case and we provided the insurance company with evidence to suggest that the driver was in fact distracted which caused him to crash- therefore making him completely liable for our clients’ injuries and damages. The insurance company backed off their prior defense and ended up paying a significant amount of money for our client’s injuries and damages.
